Consent & Content Policy

StoryAfter creates personal story videos from materials supplied by customers. This policy sets the consent, content, and safety rules for every order.

Required consent statement

I confirm I have the right to share these materials, that this order is for a personal story, tribute, remembrance, family history, or celebration purpose, and that I understand StoryAfter may use AI to generate or edit images, voice, and video from the materials I provide. The final video is a crafted production, not a personal statement created or approved by the person featured.

How AI is used

StoryAfter may use AI tools, including OpenAI and Argil, to generate or edit images, voice, and video from the materials you provide.

  • If a supplied photo is unsuitable, such as a group shot, we may use AI to create a solo image for the video.
  • If you provide audio recordings, we may use them to create a synthetic voice for the video.
  • The finished video is a crafted production. It is not a real recording, direct message, approval, or statement from the person featured.

Your authority to send materials

You must have the right to send us every photo, recording, script, memory, name, and story you provide. If the material includes living people, including people who appear in group photos or recordings, you must have any permission needed to use their image, voice, words, or personal information in this way.

What is allowed

  • Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, retirement celebrations, family history, legacy messages, celebrations of life, and remembrance videos.
  • Photos, audio recordings, scripts, and memories provided by someone with the right to share and use them.
  • Clear framing for family, friends, celebration, remembrance, and private sharing contexts.

What is not allowed

  • Misleading people about who created, approved, or authorised the final video.
  • Presenting an AI-generated voice, image, or video as a real recording or direct personal message from the person featured.
  • Using the service for harassment, deception, political persuasion, public manipulation, or commercial endorsement.
  • Sending materials you do not have the right to use.
  • Using a living person's image, voice, words, or personal information without the permission needed for the video.
  • Requests that exploit grief, misrepresent a person's wishes, or create foreseeable harm for living people.

Human review

A person reviews orders before final delivery. We may ask for clarification, request different materials, decline content, or cancel an order if it falls outside this policy.

Testimonials and examples

We will not use customer materials, final videos, or testimonials in marketing without written permission and records that support their authenticity.
