These terms explain the StoryAfter service, ordering process, payment rules, delivery terms, and customer responsibilities.

The service
StoryAfter creates personal story videos from materials provided by customers. The service is for personal stories, tributes, remembrance, family history, legacy messages, celebrations, and private family sharing.
AI-assisted story video content
StoryAfter may use AI tools, including OpenAI and Argil, to generate or edit images, synthetic voice, and video from the photos, audio recordings, scripts, and memories you provide. If a supplied photo is unsuitable, such as a group shot, we may use AI to create a solo image. If you provide audio recordings, we may use them to create a synthetic voice for the video.
The final video is a crafted production. It is not a real recording, direct personal message, approval, or statement from the person featured. You must not present it as one.
Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate order details, ensure you have the right to share and use all materials, and use the service only for lawful personal story, tribute, remembrance, family history, or celebration purposes. If materials include living people, you must have any permission needed to use their image, voice, words, or personal information in this way.
Orders and payment
Payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where VAT is chargeable. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by StoryAfter.
The Bespoke Story Video checkout payment of £499 is a part payment. After payment, we will contact you to understand your requirements and issue an invoice for the remaining amount. Full payment must be made before the final work is delivered.
Production and review
Production starts when, after payment, you provide a photo, audio recording, or both. A person reviews each order before final delivery. We may ask for clarification, request different materials, decline content, or cancel an order if it falls outside our Consent and Content Policy.
Delivery
Delivery is 3 working days after production starts, provided we have the materials, requirements, and payment needed to complete the order. For Bespoke Story Video orders, delivery is 3 working days after we confirm the requirements and receive any remaining payment, unless we agree a different timetable in writing.
Revisions
Basic Story Video does not include a revision unless we agree otherwise in writing. Signature Story Video includes one revision. Bespoke Story Video revisions are agreed as part of the bespoke scope. Revisions cover reasonable changes to the original brief and do not include a new concept, new source material, or a different video unless we agree a separate quote.
Use of final videos
The final video is provided for personal, family, celebration, remembrance, or private sharing use unless another use is agreed in writing.
Refunds and cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are handled under the Refund Policy. In summary, you can receive a full refund before production starts. Once production starts, refunds are not available for change of mind. This does not affect your statutory rights if the service is faulty, not as described, or not provided with reasonable care and skill.
Limits and refusal
We may decline or cancel orders that appear misleading, harmful, unlawful, exploitative, or outside the personal story, tribute, remembrance, family history, or celebration purpose of the service. AI output can vary, and we cannot guarantee an exact likeness, exact voice match, or a particular emotional response.
